Rhodie Trip
During our weekend at the southern Oregon coast, we enjoyed the multi-colored display of Rhododendrons.
They were in bloom throughout Honeyman State Park, as well as out in the community of Florence. The 3rd weekend in May is the annual Rhody Festival. We missed the events by one week, but still enjoyed the flowers!

This golden rhodendron has a sweet fragrance, Irises in the background
Wild bleeding hearts, color is a light lavender. These are from our camping trip last Memorial Day weekend 2008 with our friends Lynn and Randy. They have transplanted well, and appear to be multiplying under the deck--just what I wanted to happen :)
This is a Poor-Man's Orchid. No flower yet, will update with picture when available. I am happy to see the seeds have survived, yet another year. I am hoping they will multiply in abundance over the next few years. I originally received seeds from my mom, who had received seeds from grandma.
The peppermint from last year (original size was a 4x4 inch pot), has seriously taken over the small raised garden bed.
Blueberry bush is full of blooms. We lost another bush over the winter/spring~a casualty from the lawnmower when Dan was helping out

Planted some cream-color marigolds this year in front yard~they are starting to bloom already. Also pictured are cosmos that are from leftover seedlings from last year
Azalea in on front porch is doing really well, putting on a terrific show of color
