Beading Class Taught by Dana Robinson

Sunday after church, Kathrynn and I took a beading class at String Beadz. Dana is the shop owner and instructor. She taught us how to properly secure the fasteners for our bracelet for a professional look. She has a wonderful shop with many more beads than what are seen in these photos. She has drawers of additional beads and supplies.

Lori's Crocheting Project--Camo Granny Squares

During hunting season, I found some Red Heart brand camo yarn. I played around with it, and decided to make granny squares into a small quilt for our bed in the trailer.

This is a great project for me, as I can make squares when I have a few minutes of time. The center is a sage green, next is the camo, then coffee brown, and I'll do black around each square.
Shown here is the work in progress. I find time to work on it in the evenings when we're watching a movie or TV show. The work is going fairly quick, so I hope to have it completed before end of year.

Paper Craft - If you're up to the challenge

I was looking over our list of favorite sites, and tried to remember what I saved them for.

I ran across a website we used earlier in the school year for Abi's Shakespeare class. It was an extra credit assignment. She was tasked with putting together a paper model of a Shakespeare theater. She did end up with credit--after both of us struggled to put it together correctly. In the end it was a miniature version of a theater house that could sit in the palm of your hand.

On the website, Paper Toys you'll find other paper models of famous buildings, cars, and animals. It's all free, you just print out the page and start cutting and gluing.
